Our Mission & Vision
Christian Fellowship Chapel’s purpose is to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ by developing quality disciples through the fulfilling of the Great Commission in the force of the Great Commandment.
The focus of the ministry at Christian Fellowship Chapel is to glorify and honor God by fulfilling the mission the Lord gave His followers through the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) in the Spirit of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40)
We desire to make disciples of Jesus Christ who obey his commands as they worship Christ, walk with Christ, work for Christ, and witness for Christ (1 John 2:4-6), it is our belief that obedience to the Lord’s commands is revealed in our lives as we worship Christ, walk with Him, work for Him.
It is our hope that as disciples of Jesus Christ, we would grow to maturity in bearing the responsibility of caring for one another in the context of loving relationships and mutual ministry within the local church, rather than allowing one or a few pastors to take total responsibility for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). It’s not about one of a small number of pastors bearing the total responsibility to care for the entire congregation, but rather it’s about all disciples using their God given spiritual gifts to provide mutual ministry in the context of the vibrant and strong local church.
Four Pillars of Our Vision:
1. Proclaiming the authority of God’s Word without apology. (2 Timothy 4:2)
2. Lifting high the name of Jesus Christ through worship. (John 4:24)
3. Believing firmly in the power of prayer. (Ephesians 6:18)
4. Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness. (Ephesians 6:19-20)
The Four W’s of a Vision
1. We worship by gathering weekly with the church to grow in our understanding of the Word, to sing songs of praise, and to encourage one another in our fellowship.
2. We walk by joining a life group for the purpose of a closer fellowship beyond Sundays, greater accountability to the truths we are learning, and deeper discussion on the sermon.
3. We work by shouldering weekly responsibility in service to the church. The goal is to attend one service for worship and stay to serve in another area of ministry on Sunday or in another CFC ministry during the week.
4. We witness by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to our friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We engage those in our local community as well as support global evangelism through missions.
