Prayer & Intercessory Ministry (PIM)

Pray Without Ceasing

Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask  anything according to His will, He hears us.

1 John 5:14

PRAYER & INTERCESSORY MINISTRY (PIM) – MISSION

The mission of the PIM is to primarily seek to glorify our Heavenly Father through the fostering of an “Always-in-Prayer Culture.” As followers of Christ, we are called to pray unceasingly. CFC embraces this task wholeheartedly and encourages every member to become a Prayer Warrior. CFC will provide the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, encouragement, and opportunities for development/growth/empowerment to every willing member in order to develop prayer warriors whose main goal is to seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness first – through a lifestyle of prayer and constant communion with God, not only for themselves – but for others as well. The PIM is committed to serving God and CFC by praying fervently for our community, church members and leaders, as well as all others who seek prayers.

PRAYER & INTERCESSORY MINISTRY (PIM) – VISION

The vision of the PIM is that every CFC member will be blessed through prayer; that their prayer lives will be positively impacted; that blessings will overflow into the community, and that more souls will be won for Jesus Christ. CFC will be known within the community for its prayer and intercessory ministry and serve as an encouragement for other churches to develop their own ministries – for God’s glory.

Key Guiding Scripture:

  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ESV)
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6-7, ESV)
  • Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2, ESV)
  • First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. (1 Timothy 2:1, ESV).
  • But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33, ESV).
